Our worship is biblical. There is biblical reference and meaning throughout our worship. From ancient times the church has read publically from the Old and New Testaments and has drawn upon these scriptures to shape the whole of our worship. Scripture also grounds us in the patterns and actions of our worship as we partake in congregation wide confession and hear the promise of God’s forgiveness in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also sing hymns of praise and say the “Lords Prayer” and gather around the Altar to share in Holy Communion remembering “the night in which He was betrayed…” Worship
Traditional Lutheran Worship: 8:30 am – 9:30 am
Our Traditional Worship Service is centered in the Word of God and includes classic and scared hymns, a full choir, bell choir, sung Psalms and includes open communion every Sunday.
Learning and Fellowship: 9:30 am – 10:20 am
Learning and praying are key in understanding who God is and where God is in our lives. We have opportunity for great food, conversations and fun as well as educational opportunities that vary throughout the year as different classes are offered. We also have educational opportunities ( link to Education tab) outside of Sunday morning.
Contemporary Worship: 10:30 am
Contemporary worship is centered in the Word of God and includes popular praise music that is lead by our band.
Prayer and Healing Service
We all are broken in body, mind and spirit and prayer for healing is done often at Spirit of Joy. Sometimes this takes place between friends, or with our Pastor, but is integrated into the worship service whenever there is a 5th Sunday in a month for those who would like to partake.
